HOUSTON — Sept. 29, 2026 — Chamberlain Hrdlicka is honored to have been chosen to represent The Hancock Firm, LLC, a prominent Houston-based business valuation, litigation consulting, and transaction advisory firm, in its transaction to join Stonefield Economics, a national economic consulting and dispute advisory platform backed by Trinity Hunt Partners.
Established in 2004, The Hancock Firm provides business valuation, litigation consulting, and transaction advisory services to law firms, family offices, financial institutions, and corporations, with engagements spanning commercial litigation, divorce and family law, and trust and estate matters. Over more than two decades, it has grown into one of the most recognized names in its field in Texas.
Because The Hancock Firm works alongside many of the leading law firms and attorneys in Houston and throughout Texas, its decision to enlist Habeeb "Hobbs" Gnaim of Chamberlain Hrdlicka to represent it in this transformative transaction reflects the firm's standing among sophisticated professional advisers in the Texas business and legal communities. The transaction represented a significant succession and liquidity event for The Hancock Firm's owners while positioning the business for continued growth, giving the firm additional resources and reach to build on its established platform and longstanding client relationships.
Trinity Hunt Partners has a strong track record of investing in people-based, service-oriented businesses, and the acquisition expands the platform's presence in the Houston market while preserving the specialized expertise and client relationships that have driven The Hancock Firm's success.
Chamberlain Hrdlicka advised the sellers through every stage of the transaction, including due diligence, the negotiation of definitive agreements, and closing. The team developed a carefully negotiated transaction structure designed to protect the owners' interests, preserve the firm's valuable client relationships, and facilitate a successful transition to new ownership. The deal was led by Houston-based shareholder Habeeb "Hobbs" Gnaim, Chair of the firm’s Business Services and Tax Planning Groups, with significant contributions from Umair Karowadia. Additional contributors to the transaction included Aly Dossa, Kellen R. Scott, Jack Li, Samantha E. Rust, and Alec E. Turung.
"Hancock Firm is one of the most respected names in business valuation and litigation consulting in Texas, and we were honored they placed their trust in Chamberlain to guide them through this important transaction," said Gnaim.
