Profile

Carol A. Conroy is an associate in the Commercial Litigation practice in Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Atlanta office, where she represents businesses and individuals across a broad range of commercial and business disputes. Her work includes breach of contract, business tort, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty claims, as well as partnership, ownership, and shareholder disputes, non-compete and trade secret matters, defamation, unfair competition, and business dissolution. Carol also maintains a construction litigation practice, representing general contractors, subcontractors, design-builders, and architects in defect, delay, contract, and lien disputes. Carol's clients range from small businesses to mid-market companies, and occasionally individuals, in sectors that include investment advisory firms, family partnerships, design-build firms, and industrial manufacturers.

Since joining the firm, Carol has taken a hands-on role at every stage of litigation. She takes and defends depositions, argues motions, and manages all phases of discovery, including e-discovery. Her work involves extensive brief writing, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and appellate briefs. Carol's approach centers on command of the facts. Her goal in every matter is to master the factual record, meticulously reviewing the evidence to identify the issues that matter and to advance or defend her clients' positions strategically.

Carol began her career at a boutique firm in Northern Virginia, where she focused on civil litigation and workers' compensation defense and represented clients ranging from individuals to a large, multinational Fortune 500 company. Early in her career she gained courtroom experience that included taking depositions, participating in mediations, and representing clients at trial.
